Chimney Swifts Watch & Learn

Join us for a celebration of that rare bird, the chimney swift! Declared a threatened species in 2010, these birds have made a home in our chimney at 698 McLeod Ave and we are honoured to host them during their spring migration. On Wednesday, June 5th 2019 (rain date: June 6th) please join us at 8pm for a talk by noted ornithologist, UNB’s own Joe Nocera. Then enjoy the spectacle as hundreds of swifts swirl together above our chimney before flooding in to their roost. Attendance to the talk is by donation; all proceeds will be given to Nature NB, a non-profit, charitable organization whose mission is to celebrate, conserve and protect New Brunswick’s natural heritage.
