Saint Brigid, a patron saint of Ireland, adopted Christianity in the fifth Century AD.  Her feast day February 1, celebrates her kindness and generosity.  She is credited with creating the first monastery in Kildare and caring for the sick.

Her crosses, made from straw are traditionally made on February 1st Saint Brigid's Day and also the Celtic festival Imbolc. Placed in doorways to ensure a healthy, happy home. You can wear this one all year round!
