Framed Large Galley Crest with Enamel

This large hand-enameled pewter Galley crest comes in a 7.5 x 7.5" frame.

The galley, or lymphad, is the representation of an ancient, single-masted ship propelled by oars, and is used primarily in Scottish heraldry.

The word lymphad comes from the Gaelic “long fhada,” which refers to a long ship. The centuries-old symbol not only reflects the province of New Brunswick’s strong Scottish connection but also its rich shipbuilding and shipping heritage.
