Here's why this piece is so special. At first glance, a cockle shell might look similar to a scallop because of its distinctive striped patterns. These shells are commonly found along the sandy, sheltered beaches of New Brunswick. This particular piece is a genuine cast of a real cockle shell found on a New Brunswick beach, accurately depicting all the natural surface details of the original shell.

Materials + Care
Caring for your pewter
Wash after use with warm water and a mild soap. Jewellery and pieces that don't touch food or drink can also be cleaned with Windex and paper towel. Never put pewter in the dishwasher.
Polished (shiny) finish: bring back the shine with a jeweller's rouge cloth. We use Fabulustre, but any rouge cloth from a hardware or jewellery store works.
Satin (matte) finish: buff out scratches and dullness with a Scotch-Brite or scouring pad, rubbing with the grain.
