The hexagram, or six pointed star, has been historically used in religious and cultural contexts and as decorative motifs. The symbol was used merely as a decorative motif in medieval Christian churches many centuries before its first known use in a Jewish synagogue. In pagan culture, the hexagram represents the combined elements of fire, air, water, and earth; it is often referred to as the Seal of Solomon.
This stylized hexagram follows the celtic knot tradition of forming a shape with one continuous line. Unbroken, it is strong and unified.
