This pewter ornament comes in a 7.5 x 7.5" frame.
It’s just after seven a.m. on a warm summer Saturday, and already the aromas of ethnic delicacies are wafting through “The Market” in downtown Fredericton. Even at this early hour, there’s a good crowd gathering. Naturally, the coffee vendors are busy. So are those who are selling fresh-squeezed orange juice and smoothies. As usual, a line up is forming in front of the samosa makers’ stall.
Outside, in the main courtyard, a couple of local musicians are tuning up their instruments while a garlic farmer unloads his truck. A few steps away, the premier of the province is chatting with a university professor who just moved to Fredericton from the West Coast.
Not only is the capital city of New Brunswick waking up on this fine Saturday morning, so too is its spirit.
