$88.20
This pewter Old Government House Ornament comes in a 7.5 x 7.5" frame.
Old Government House was the residence of the colonial governor until confederation in 1867 and later the home of the province's lieutenant governor until 1890. The building was used as a veterans' hospital until 1934 and by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police until 1988. In December 1998, after major restoration, it is once again the official residence of the lieutenant governor. The Georgian structure contains many artifacts and furnishings, as well as interactive displays, an art gallery and offices. Guided tours are available. Old Government House is open Monday to Friday, September to May, and every day from June to August.
