Details

Situated where the Miramichi, one of the world's best-known salmon rivers, runs into Miramichi Bay, Miramichi, New Brunswick, is an industrious and culturally progressive place with an impressive heritage. For millennia, the Mi'kmaq traversed the seductive landscapes where the city now sits, living off the bounty of land and sea. Shipbuilders built great vessels here. Influential people grew up here, including William Maxwell Aitken, 1st Baron Beaverbrook, among the most powerful British figures in the first half of the 20th Century. Reflecting flow and movement, our Miramichi Ornament celebrates this small but mighty city and its many contributions to the world, including welcoming Irish immigrants escaping Ireland's Great Famine from 1845 to 1852.

Materials + Care

Caring for your pewter

Wash after use with warm water and a mild soap. Jewellery and pieces that don't touch food or drink can also be cleaned with Windex and paper towel. Never put pewter in the dishwasher.

Polished (shiny) finish: bring back the shine with a jeweller's rouge cloth. We use Fabulustre, but any rouge cloth from a hardware or jewellery store works.

Satin (matte) finish: buff out scratches and dullness with a Scotch-Brite or scouring pad, rubbing with the grain.

Shipping + Returns

We strive to process and ship all orders in a timely manner, working diligently to ensure that your items are on their way to you as soon as possible.

Handcrafted Since 1972

Every piece begins as molten pewter. Jewelry, ornaments, frames and coasters are cast, chased and finished; mugs, goblets, vases and bowls are spun on a lathe. Each one is polished by hand before it's packed. All our pewter is lead-free and nickel-free, a good choice if other jewellery irritates your skin.
