Prince's Lodge Rotunda Ornament

Prince’s Lodge on the Bedford Basin was once Prince Edward’s romantic retreat with Madame de Saint-Laurent. Around 1800, he transformed the estate into a haven of gardens, winding paths, and a heart-shaped pond said to honour their devotion. The elegant Rotunda, perched above the water, echoed with music, moonlit gatherings, and whispered affection. Though the mansion has vanished, the Rotunda endures as a gentle reminder of their quiet love and the graceful charm of a bygone Halifax era.
