This pewter Nova Scotia Stories Ornament comes in a 7.5 x 7.5" frame.

The skirl of bagpipes... the rhythm of drums. Fog horns at night. Breathe deep the feeling of Nova Scotia, where the aroma of salt and sea blend with the stories of the past.
The ocean has carved more than the landscape of this remarkable place, one of the four provinces that joined together to form Canada in 1867. It’s also carved the collective consciousness of a people — a consciousness as deep and powerful as the North Atlantic.

As finely crafted as the province itself, this ornament symbolizes the stories of Nova Scotia and its people as seen through the Statue of Evangeline at Grand-Pré, the Bluenose II, the Oxford Blueberry, the Peggy’s Cove Lighthouse, Glooscap — the mythic hero of the Mi’kmaq people, the Halifax Town Clock, the Hector — the ship that brought the first Scottish settlers to Nova Scotia, the Scottish Piper, the Cabot Trail, and the Fortress of Louisbourg.

Materials + Care

Caring for your pewter

Wash after use with warm water and a mild soap. Jewellery and pieces that don't touch food or drink can also be cleaned with Windex and paper towel. Never put pewter in the dishwasher.

Polished (shiny) finish: bring back the shine with a jeweller's rouge cloth. We use Fabulustre, but any rouge cloth from a hardware or jewellery store works.

Satin (matte) finish: buff out scratches and dullness with a Scotch-Brite or scouring pad, rubbing with the grain.
